Penne with Chicken and Asparagus
It’s dinner time and still do not know what you want to eat. Here is one of the many delicious varieties where you can cook the style penne pasta. This recipe takes about 45 minutes to make this dish. Have a good dinner.
Ingredients (for 8 servings) :

- 1 package (16 ounces) dried pasta penne
- 5 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 2 halves of skinless and boneless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- salt and pepper to taste
- garlic powder to taste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth, low sodium
- 1 bunch thin asparagus, trim and cut diagonally to 1-inch pieces
- 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Penne with Chicken and Asparagus
Instructions :
- Boil a large pot of lightly salted water then cook the pasta until al dente about 9-10 minutes. Strain and set aside.
- Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken then add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until chicken is cooked through and golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove chicken to paper towels.
- Pour chicken broth into the pan. Then add the asparagus, garlic and a pinch more of garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cover with lid and steam until asparagus is tender, about 5-10 minutes. Put back the chicken to skillet and heat through.
- Stir the chicken, pasta, and mix well. Let stand about 5 minutes. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil, stir, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
